Why rent an e-bike, not buy?
When you buy, you pay a lot at the start. You also pay for all repairs. With PLUTO you pay a small amount each week or month, and we look after the bike. If it is stolen, we can replace it within 48 hours (terms and conditions apply). Our support team helps you by chat, email and phone.
How does PLUTO work?
PLUTO is a flexible e-bike subscription. You pay a fixed fee (weekly for delivery riders, monthly for commuters). You get your own e-bike with built-in anti-theft tech, and rider support by chat, email and phone. Theft cover is an optional extra.
What documents do I need?
Commuters: photo ID (driving licence, passport, BRP…) and proof of address (utility bill, rental agreement…).
Delivery riders: photo ID (driving licence, passport, BRP…) and proof of address (last 3 months bank statement, utility bill, rental agreement…).
We do not share your documents with anyone. We use them only to check who you are at the start.
How long must I rent for?
Every plan has a minimum time: delivery plans 1–2 months, commuter plans 3–5 months. After that there is a 15-day notice period. You can cancel in your account, or email or call us, and we collect the bike when it suits you. Email: support@plutoebike.com
Can you bring the e-bike to my door?
Yes. We deliver anywhere in the UK for a £24.90 delivery fee. Bikes leave our warehouse in Berkshire or London, usually within 48–72 hours after payment. You can also collect your bike for free. Ask us and we will book a time.
Can I try an e-bike first?
Yes. We do free test rides at our place in Reading, Berkshire. Tell us and we will book a time for you. A test ride helps you choose the right bike.
